I watch as hundreds of voices on social media are telling us the “right” way to eat, new biohacking products and supplements are constantly emerging, and the flood of conflicting health opinions is causing more confusion and stress than anything else. 

The result of all of this? We continue to stray farther and farther from our own bodies. In our modernization and attempt to move forward, we have simultaneously taken 10 steps back.

Throughout the years, it’s been made more and more evident where we have been led in the wrong direction. I’ve realized what we assume, and continue to assume, about the body simply isn’t all correct.

Trusting your body, in a world where we’ve been conditioned to do the opposite, takes courage.

So, what is Back to Your Body?

BTYB is a transformative 8-step process designed to reconnect you with your body. During this transformation you will cut through the overwhelming noise in the health industry, take charge of your well-being,  learn to communicate with your body, and uncomplicate your health.
Imagine being able to ask your body what it needs, and actually knowing the answer. Instead of having to outsource your health, YOU become the master of your body and well-being. ​It’s the undoing of our old beliefs around our bodies, and coming back to what we’ve always known. It’s a coming home to yourself – aka coming back to your body.

What I want to make clear is this: the body is always on your side. Every symptom, illness, and condition you experience is the body adapting to work to protect you. But how are we supposed to know what the body is telling us, when we’ve never truly listened to it in the first place? 

This is why I’ve developed BTYB.

Coming Home
to Myself

My relationship with my body for most of my life was a volatile one. I was cruel to her; nothing she ever did was good enough. I starved her, overworked her, neglected her, threw judgement and shame at her, and betrayed her - all while completely ignoring the messages she was sending me.

By coming back to my own body:

  • I overcame an eating disorder

  • Healed from leaky gut and improved my digestion

  • Reduced my chronically high cortisol

  • Worked to repair a worn out nervous system

  • Fell in love with my body & myself

For a long time I was lost. I fought with everything I had, but nothing was changing. It took having multiple breakdowns, on my knees, sobbing and begging for help, to finally understand what I needed to do - and I didn't really have a choice. 

I was forced to listen to my body in ways I had never before. I had to not only learn to trust her, but prove to her that she could also trust me. I had to learn to make connections, notice subtle patterns or nudges, and tie everything together.  I had to get to know her for the first time. It took me years.​

One of the scariest yet most rewarding “undoings” I’ve gone through in all of this, has been unlearning the misguided belief that our bodies don’t know what they’re doing.  ​Your body is absolutely brilliant -  it does not make mistakes. In reality, the body is smarter than you, me, and any person to exist.

In my refusal to listen to the noise created by those who exclaim to “know it all”, I’ve been coming home to myself more and more.  Understanding your body is a bit of a lifelong mission and can be a frustrating journey at times (take it from me), but it’s why I’m so passionate about guiding others in doing the same.

​​I've believed in nutrition as medicine and the power of the body since I was 14 years old  - I didn't know much, but I knew there had to be pieces we were missing. Fast forward to today, and I've been working as a dietitian for almost 3 years now.

Using my studies and my own life experiences I have worked with over 100 clients to guide them on their healing journeys. You don't have to figure this all out on your own like I did - you don't have to take years going through the trial and error. 

This is what freedom is to me. This is what I am passionate about, this is where my heart lies, and this is what pulled me out of some of my darkest moments - and I'm here to guide you through it.

I'll never claim to know it all, because I don't think anyone can, but I believe in this. My life's work is dedicated to understanding the body’s intricacies, guiding others on their path to healing, and forming a deeper relationship with my own as I go along.

Month 1 Transformation: "The Undoing"

We begin taking a look at your current and past state of health, as well as mental, emotional, and physical manifestations of imbalance. We start taking steps to work towards your personal health goals. Because the gut is involved in every aspect of health, we will be ordering a stool after the 1st session to prepare us for the next month. We will also begin the process of "undoing" - looking to identify beliefs/patterns relating to health and our bodies, outline what we are hoping to achieve, and dip our toes into practicing what building awareness/connection to the body involves and looks like.

How it Works:

1.**Sign Up**: Secure your spot in BTYB by purchasing below and booking your first session online. All sessions there on out will be booked directly with Lauren

2. **Begin Your Journey**: Join your first session, where we go deep into your history and goals, discussing physical, mental, and emotional manifestations of imbalance in the body. From here, step #1 begins.

3. **Transform Your Life**: Start applying and reflecting on what you learn, meet weekly with Lauren, and witness your transformation unfold.

Welcome Home.

  • Will this require a lot of work in between sessions?
    I will preface this answer by saying this: everything I guide you on I do so in a way specific to YOU. Each person has different lives, different responsibilities, different mental/emotional capacities, etc. I handle each person accordingly and I guide you in a way that is easy to follow and not overwhelming. There is some "work" to be done in between sessions, but it's not like I'm giving you school work to be graded on. It will involve slowly making dietary/lifestyle changes, or paying attention to your own habits, thoughts, and body in various ways, but it's at a rate that you can handle, and never all at once. What you put into this is what you will get out of it, so I am sure to guide you in a way that feels doable.
  • Why do you have to commit to 3 months to do this program?
    The 3-month timeframe was intentional. In order to go as in depth as we are going to, we need to be meeting consistently and making progress each week. This way you are actively making changes and sitting with yourself between sessions, and we are able to discuss as we go along. This isn't something where you can check in with me once a month, we will get nowhere if that's the case
  • How is this different than your normal sessions?
    This explores an avenue of health/the body that I do not go into in my typical sessions. There's two pieces to this program. With one piece of BTYB you will receive my nutrition & health guidance (including any testing) , but on a much deeper level than during my normal sessions. It is also educational as I am essentially working to give you everything you need to use this for the entirety of your lifetime. The other part is where you work WITH the body. You will learn to build awareness, connection, and begin to learn the language of your body, developing a deep level of trust along the way. This takes time and can be vulnerable and emotional for some (it was for me). This allows you to quite literally communicate with your body and understand your body's innate self-healing abilities. It's building a relationship with yourself. Instead of guessing, you will have a better understanding of what your body needs, when something is off, and how to pinpoint what it is trying to tell you.
  • Is this refundable?
    Due to the nature of the program, this is not refundable. Please be sure you are committed if you decide to move forward. If you have questions prior to making your decision you can book a complementary call with me here:
  • How does the stool test work?
    The stool test is an at home test that gets shipped out to you. Once you purchase the program, I will reach out to the lab and put in an order for the stool test after confirming your shipping address with you. Once the order is shipped to your home, you will follow the instructions on the kit and ship the sample back (shipping label is prepaid). Once the lab receives the sample I will get sent the results within 2 weeks and we will discuss on our next call.
  • Why is a stool test a part of this program?
    The health of the gut significantly influences the overall health of the body. If I am committed to providing you with an in-depth program, it would be incomplete if we didn't closely explore gut health as a crucial component.
